Blue Islands launches direct flights to the Isle of Man
The new service means enhanced connectivity for business communities.
Blue Islands is launching a new direct service to the Isle of Man from Jersey; the new route, which also connects from and to Guernsey, is specifically aimed at business travellers and starts from 23 April.
Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said, “We’re excited to enhance connectivity for our Channel Islands business communities; a true strategic benefit for our islands, enabling fast and efficient travel with a new scheduled service between Guernsey / Jersey and the Isle of Man. This follows extensive industry engagement and a trial last year designed to assess the route’s viability.
“There are many organisations operating across these jurisdictions, and current travel options are time-consuming, often with long-connections in the UK using multiple operators. Seats are available to book now enabling industry to plan meetings and appointments for the year ahead with the efficiency and convenience of direct flights.”
Commencing 23 April, the service direct from Jersey will operate Tuesdays and Thursdays on alternate weeks, and seamlessly connects from and to Guernsey as customers remain on the aircraft for the short stop in Jersey.
Jersey’s Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel, said, “The new Blue Islands route between Jersey and the Isle of Man is very welcome. Our jurisdictions are both leading centres for international financial services, so it’s great to see direct connectivity serving our business communities.”
