Edward is the CEO of EDR Limited a bespoke geophysical consultancy supporting energy operators to de-risk their exploration and development work programs in a host of geological settings. The business is headquartered in Guernsey and works globally for clients such as ExxonMobil, Total, Shell whilst also supporting several clients within the renewable energy market. With a strong experience expanding service-based businesses he has overseen simultaneous operations in 34 countries with technical teams either based remotely or in situ. Guernsey provides the perfect backdrop for growing the EDR business thanks to the world class infrastructure, grown up service sector and good transport links to the UK and mainland Europe. Edward is married with two children and moved the family to Guernsey in 2018.
Born and bought up in Guernsey, Helen was educated at La Mare De Carteret Secondary School and the Grammar Sixth form. She graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea with an honours degree in Zoology in 1996. Following a brief stint in the Captive Insurance Industry Helen joined the States of Guernsey as a Trainee Trading Standards Officer in September 1997. After 3 years of extensive study she was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Trading Standards, the professional qualification, from the Trading Standards Institute in January 2001 and subsequently appointed to the role of Trading Standards Officer. Having developed an interest in Law Helen began studying for the Postgraduate Diploma in Law with the college of Law in September 2002, successfully gaining the qualification in June 2004. Helen joined the Guernsey Registry as the Deputy Registrar of Companies in June 2008. Since joining the team she has completed the MSC in Corporate Governance through the University of Bournemouth and holds the Grad ICSA qualification. Helen also holds both the foundation and practitioner EU General Data Protection Regulation certificates issued by IBITGQ, the CMI Certificate in Management and Leadership, and is currently studying for the ICA International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering. Helen is the Registrar for Companies, Foundations, LLP's and Intellectual Property, and is a Deputy Greffier for Limited Partnerships. In addition Helen is the Registrar for Charities and NPO's and the Registrar of Beneficial Ownership.
Lucy has been involved in a number of digital change programmes, with a special interest in digital upskilling and brings a broad view of digital transformation and impact on society. With a background in education, she has undertaken Masters research into future skills development, adoption and integration of technology. She has presented internationally on the subject of digital change and adoption, invited by Google to work alongside other leading government and educationalists in summits both in the UK and Europe. Lucy is currently driving the development and growth of Guernsey’s digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem through Guernsey’s own Innovation Centre, the Digital Greenhouse, and has just completed postgraduate research with the University of Deakin in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Jo has extensive personal experience of relocation having lived in Yorkshire, Paris, London, Jersey and for the past 16 years in Guernsey. A former professional events’ organiser at IMG and the OECD in Paris, founder of a successful pan-island relocation consultancy and former Chair of the Association of Relocation Professionals, Jo joined Locate Guernsey in 2018. She is a passionate ambassador for the island and enjoys helping potential new residents to discover how living in Guernsey could work for them, their families and their business interests.
