2019 Locate Guernsey Results

Locate Guernsey, the States of Guernsey agency responsible for advising and supporting personal and business relocations, has reported another prosperous year for relocations to Guernsey. Figures for 2019 show that there have been 35 relocations across the year, an increase of 11 on the 24 relocations measured in 2018. Open Market property purchases by Locate Guernsey’s new arrivals have generated £1,222,692 in document duty for the exchequer, an increase of £422,139 on the previous year.
Locate Guernsey have also measured increased demand for relocation information and advice in 2019. The team received 222 enquiries across the year, a growth of 100 against 2018 results. While the majority of enquiries are UK based, a life in Guernsey continues to attract global interest from Asia, South Africa, North America and across Europe.
Locate Guernsey is part of the Committee for Economic Development, whose President, Deputy Charles Parkinson, said, ‘It is fantastic to see another year of continued success and growth from Locate Guernsey. The associated new businesses, property transactions and personal expertise provide rich benefits to our economy and community. These results provide further evidence for the rising appeal of Guernsey as an attractive location to live and work.’
