Locate Guernsey London Showcase – Celebrating the best of our island

On Friday 14th October Locate Guernsey will be hosting a London showcase event at Landing 42 Leadenhall building, London’s highest dedicated event space. This is our first event like this and we hope to run these sorts of events once a year. The date also coincides with the 950th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
The idea of this event is to showcase Guernsey as a relocation destination of choice in which to live and do business and to celebrate its successful and internationally recognised business community, all the while promoting the services of Locate Guernsey.
Key intermediaries, advisors and potential clients will join tables hosted by Guernsey businesses supporting Locate Guernsey in a fantastic demonstration of working in partnership for the benefit of the island.
David Ummels MD of Astin Capital who moved to Guernsey in July 2015 has very kindly agreed to be our key speaker at the event. David is a self-confessed “big fan of Guernsey”, so much so that he has already set up the ‘Art for Guernsey’ event which took place in September 2016 working with local businesses and raising money for local charities.
A 3 course Guernsey inspired lunch has been designed by Sueco’s executive head chef Paul Wilson, working in collaboration with the Landing 42’s catering team ‘Create’. Each course celebrates the very best of Guernsey produce. Handpicked chancre crab, soft herbs, Guernsey’s famously rich cheeses, cream and butter are all key ingredients that will make this a truly unique dining experience.
We are delighted that so many artisan Guernsey suppliers will be showcased at this prestigious event, including; Surf & Turf, The Guernsey Dairy, Fresh Guernsey Herbs, Haut Maison Liqueurs, Wheadon’s Gin, Fort Grey Cheese, Bean 14 coffee & Fort Grey Tea.
